A local middle school had an incoming student who was in a wheelchair. The school wanted to ensure that it’s facilities would accommodate the student who would be starting school in the fall semester. Terry Donovan received a phone call and met with the Director of Maintenance for the school district onsite.
After reviewing different entryways and the school layout, Terry made a recommendation for what would give the student the most efficient and safest way from the entryway to the corridor that held the student’s classes. The stairlift was installed and field-safety tested prior to the commencement of the fall semester. The school has the ability to accommodate virtually any student or faculty member who requires assistance to the main hall corridor and classrooms.
